Beletete leaves, also known as Atama, are leaves from a plant native to tropical Africa. They are used in recipes, particularly in Banga or Groundnut Soup. Beletete leaves are usually used dry because it is difficult to get the fresh ones. The soup is made from a palm nut base with meats, dried fish, and aromatics like, ataiko, iruguje, Banga sticks (all these are incorporated into our Banga spice blend) and is eaten with white rice, fufu, starch or Banku.
