Palm Oil is an edible oil that come from the fruits of the Oil Palm tree, (Elaeis guineensis). It’s one of the most widely consumed vegetable oil in the world. The Oil Palm is an ancient tropical plant from the West African tropical rain forest region. Palm oil is used traditionally as a cooking ingredients in the tropical belt of West Africa.
How It Is Produced: Palm oil is made from the fruits of African Oil Palm. The oil is pressed from the orange pulp of palm fruits, which are harvested throughout the year.
Uses: There are many uses of Palm oil, but commonly used and consumed in various types of soups, yam porridge,
and almost all kinds of foods.
Precautions: Some studies suggest that Palm Oil may increase Cholesterol levels. This might be a problem. Be
